I'll go to your thread Lost. Kevin, something comes up or it starts raining every time I want to go fishing. My luck just hasn't panned out on the fishing.

Journaling:

The weekend was over-all a good one, but it was also weird. I broke the lawn mower again on Friday. Technically the bolts just came out of the rim while I was mowing, but I was driving it at the time, so I take responsibility. Thankfully they didn't come all the way out, the mower just stopped moving, else I might have gotten hurt.

Send a text to my H to let him know about the mower. I didn't know what it was, just that it stopped moving. H responds that he will come by to look at it.

He showed up with beer, food and snackies. I had no idea he planned to stay over until he walked in the door. So surprised I snuck away to call SMW while he was out looking at the mower.

H came inside and told me what it was on the mower and then took me down to the mower to show me. I said, wow, I could have gotten hurt. He said that is why I don't want you mowing the steep parts of the hills.

That is when he said it is Friday night and time to go inside, eat, have a beer and relax. I had actually made pork chops and sweet potatoes and carrots without even knowing he would be there. So, he was able to have a hot meal.

Had a call from my S to let me know he would like me to go to the Dr's in the am. Fell on his bike. (More on that later.) Did not want to go tonight.

We watched some more of the series From the Earth to the Moon. After the segments we watched I got ready for bed. He initiated a hug and kiss before bed.

I kept thinking the whole night was weird, but I was just going with it.

I left before my H was awake to pick up my S. As I expected it was a multiple (5) hour ordeal in the ER. To everyone's surprise, his foot was only severely sprained, despite the massive swelling. Even he was sweating bullets, because he's finally made the connection that if I don't work I don't eat or drive my car.

Surprisingly, my H was still there when I returned home. I'd kept him informed about our S via text throughout the day. He was able to fix the mower. I surprised him with a local brewer's beer that he only buys as a treat, to thank him for fixing the mower. (Its very old, and limping along until we can afford a new one.)

We watched another set of the series From the Earth to the Moon. Around 11 we went to get ready for bed. He initiated another hug and kiss before bed. He settled into the guest bedroom with a pretty comfortable sigh.

This morning I was up before him and had already read the paper when he came down the hall. I made us breakfast sandwiches. He commented how he liked the sausage in them. I was cleaning up the kitchen when he said he was going to get going. I just nodded and then he gathered up his stuff.

He seemed to hang around a little by the door, but I think he was looking at my calendar. He asked about next Saturday. He saw I'd written Spaghetti Dinner there and wondered what it was. I told him it was a fundraiser for my friend's pet rescue and I was not only buying a ticket, I was also working it.

He came over to hug me and asked what I was going to do that day. I told him I was going to church, had some house stuff to do, and then I was thinking about driving down to put flowers on Grandma and Aunt's graves. I'd been thinking about them and wanted to bring down some pretty fall mums. He was surprised, but said it sounded really nice.

I got another hug and a kiss. He looked at me a while and then said I'll see you soon. I said ok, drive safe.

I hadn't decided to go to the graves for his benefit. They were his Grandma and Aunt, but I was close to them. The graves are 1 1/2 hours away. I just think it surprised him.

Anyhow, church was wonderful and uplifting. Made a trip to buy the mums for the graves.

I came home and finished the part of the lawn I didn't get done on Friday when the mower broke. Then I put all the dogs into the breezeway so I could stick-vac and mop all my floors. I worked up a really good sweat, but boy do the floors look nice.

Then I loaded up all the dogs and made the trip. It was a beautiful day for driving. I had no problem finding the graves.

I got a bit teary - eyed while I was there. Gram was a very traditional Italian woman that warmed up to me over the years, but it was hard at first. I was not Italian, I was blonde and horrors - I cut rather than twirled my pasta! Of course, then I had my S and I could do no wrong. It was as if I'd given her the most precious gift she could think of.

Nice drive back and I even had a call from my S letting me know he would be coming out when I got home. Mr injured boy won't have many work hours this week, so he needs to come "shop" the pantry and freezers. I may not have much money, but there is always food here.

So, interesting weekend. I feel more detached than ever and find it interesting that he is choosing to stay over when I least expect it. I don't know, maybe he was really comfortable when he was staying at the house when I was out of town. I'm not jumping to any conclusions, just thinking out loud.
