He managed to mumble a hello when I came home - 3 hours after he called to say he was at home - I think he is a bit put out that I wasn't sitting here waiting.

Old Oz took the scraps...she was convenient. Old Oz wasn't respected, so H kept moving farther and farther away. Old Oz took H's behavior personally and then felt bad.
NEW Oz knows her value, and is letting H swing in the breeze. New Oz wants the whole enchilada, not a few last minute crumbs. New Oz knows that H's behavior is about H, and she's taking steps to make herself happy no matter what he does.
I'm thinking H needs to find "New H" in a hurry.
I'd expect your H to make some comment about you not being there...and it will sound all whiny. "I'm sorry you're taking this personally, H, but I DO have a life of my own you know." Raise one eyebrow, the hint of a smile. He is...amusing.
You can do this. Make him work...just like you made him work back when you were dating. Your H needs to WIN YOU BACK.
