Thanks Ladies

He probably was feeling a bit odd being father's day and we have always gone out for lunch but I was treating today just like any other Sunday.

I wasn't here when he returned from taking D to the shops. I got a call from him asking if I was coming home soon as he was hungry. Told him he should organise his lunch as I didn't know how long I would be. He asked what I was going to do for lunch. Said I would organise it after if I was hungry.

By the time I got home with D (she couldn't get H on his phone to pick her up so I had to go), he is lying on the couch all rugged up in jumpers - he has a cold.

I am sure he was attention seeking and looking for gratitude which he did not get.

I have just noticed that his work clothes from Friday and his weekend stuff is all in the wash basket.

Oh, is he in for a shock come tomorrow morning - mind you, if he has 'man flu' he may not go to work, eh??

HI Nell

No it wouldn't matter what he had he will go to work, he doesn't believe in sick days.

Funny thing I just went into the bedroom and he must have got himself dressed up for lunch cause his good clothes were on the bed, then when I wasn't coming home got changed again.

I don't know what makes him think that he can go and party all weekend and then expect me to just be waiting for the crumbs he decides to throw my way, like that will make it all better. Yeah right, so not.

Didn't get my garden stuff, the weather was not favourable so I had a good look and got lots of ideas for what I want, hopefully next weekend the weather will be better.

These men have weird ideas, don't they? They don't believe in sick days (neither does mine) but it's OK to treat us badly and have ow. The world has gone mad.

So, clothes on the bed just goes to show that your H was indeed planning to take you out for lunch but your 180 made that blow up in his face! Good on you. Shame they can't change their attitudes as quickly as they can change their clothes!!

We are not at home to Mr. Naughty - that's my mantra today!!

Shame the weather let you down on the garden stuff. Never mind - it's there for next weekend and with you still looking around, you may have even changed your mind about some ideas by then.

Thanks for saying that you would find me, if anything should happen!! I am now checking in with g/f back in UK twice a week for just that reason!

Just need to get ontop of my Pity Party For One now ... oh how I wish I could.

Work tomorrow for you??

Good for you, Oz! keep him on his toes. I smiled when I read he had dressed for lunch. Let's face it, if he didn't tell you when he was coming home how could you have organised it anyway. Besides, father's day is a celebration for our dads and all they do for us. The father of our children have taken a rest and so has their father's day

I agree with Cas - and also, what a shocker it must have been for your H when it's 'routine' for you to go to lunch every year on father's day!! Double whammy.

Hi Nell and Cas,

Yep, I was mighty pleased with myself, for once I was not available when he snapped his fingers and was ready to spend some time with me and yes he gave no indication of when he would be home.

I went out again in the afternoon and met a girlfriend for coffee. I got all dressed up and he watched me walk through the room, but once again wouldn't let me take his car, said he would move it so I could get mine out of the garage.

I came back and cooked dinner, he ran a bath for me ????, I was in there for a while when he came in and asked if I wanted anything wine, tea, coffee, did I want some music on ???, Just said no thanks to all that

Don't worry, I haven't ironed the shirts.

He is as sick as a dog and whilst I normally would take care of him I have decided that if he wants to party all weekend then he has to deal with the consequences of that himself.

He initiated some conversation earlier about his friend from interstate and that they are expecting another baby. I said that was lovely for them and they will be busy with two under the age of 3.

It was a shame aobut the weather, but as you say Nell by next weekend I could have decided on different things for the balcony, I will be glad when I can get it looking all green and pretty somewhere nice to spend some time particulary with the nicer weather coming and daylight saving.

Well done on the 180 Oz, he will be a bit shocked to find he has no clean clothes for work on monday! and it made me giggle to imagine him getting all done up and then finding he has no where and no one wants him to go lol!

Wow,just followed Gucci`s great post and got to catch up on your sitch too, Oz.

Somewhat like mine, in that I too am dealing with an MLC who`s looking for separation, sometimes and sees wverything wrong with our R.

i`ve been DBing since April with wonderful results for me, though the results for us haven`t quite happened yet, though there are slight improvements.

I`ve worked my way through the listening to H, validating what he has to say, setting boundaries on what is acceptable behaviour from him to me. I`ve made all the changes in me that he wanted and me-though I`ve made them primarily for me.

Now I`m at the point you`re at.Trying to be mysterious.Gucci`s posts are just brill on that. Nothing like the male perspective.

H is away today. So I`m off now to reorganize my wardrobe, jewellery etc. Add a few things to my wish list. Preen myself to within an inch of my life. And set some mysteriious dates for the weeks ahead.

I`ll be keeping up with your sitch too for some great ideas!

Good for you, Oz!!!

The trouble with having an open mind is that people put things in it.
