Thanks Dday...whatever the reason its scary! He is such a master manipulator and a real charmer with his words. Its worked on countless women.

I was right. He only was being nice to me so he could spend more time with baby.

He sent a text asking if we did anything this weekend that we could include him. I questioned him more about why and if he was talking like he wanted family time and then run back to his girlfriend. He dodged that question but basically said he was being nice to me so we have a good relationship for baby and he wanted to spend more time with her.

Screw him!

That is a good thing, right? Assuming of course when he gets his DL back he's not drinking and driving again with her in the car.

You still really need to work on the detaching thing he gets in your head WAY too much...

Yeah..I am all for being civil and nice for baby's sake, but I really don't want to spend weekends with exh and baby, get my head all in a funk (more than it already is) and then have him march home to gf. Seems like cakeeating to me.

((SO2))

Sorry for being away so long. Things went well for three months and then he walked again. I am spending the whole weekend doing nothing - not good. But i wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Not much to say that everyone else has said. Take care and have a nice weekend. AT least you have your baby around. Not only is my H gone, but both kids are out and about and seem to have forgotten my phone number.
BTW my BD and anniversary are coming up this month - H was supposed to be moving back then. Talk about losses. I will probably vent later.

What a weekend!

In a nutshell:

Exh broke up with gf via text right in front of me. She went ballistic understandably so.

Exh came over and spent alot of time with us this weekend. Said he has changed, wants his family. Blah, blah blah....all things i have heard before.

This afternoon I see him and he has been drinking. Big no-no for me. I didn't say a word about it, but I wil when he is not drinking.

I know its all BS, but it still tugged on my heartstrings. Actually I do think he does want his family, but he also wants to keep drinking...and he knows I will reject him because of that.

Stay tough SO2...Please God let me be tough!

Good for you SO. If he wants his family bad enough, he will do it. But you have to hold his feet to the fire.

Thank you Sara. We have been down this road before and its never turned out good. Without major changes, noway an R will work. Doesn't make it any easier though and I end up talking my way thru it as I weaken.

There is a drug that can be prescribed by a doctor called antibuse. It has to be taken daily. It prevents a person from drinking. My son was on it for 6 months and it really did stop him.
