Thanks for the positive comments, all. I do feel I'm completely in the right, and I am. Just have to work through the anxiety of what may come next.
Had a very good talk with the MIL who loves me to death and is very upset about the situation. She is wonderful; not intruding, not trying to coax her daughter at all, and basically staying out of it other than to offer support. She is upset with her daughter but still loving, as I would want and expect her to be. She really wishes my W would get further counseling on her depression as she feels all of this is due to that.
My wife thinks the depression is totally due to me and getting additional input or treatment is probably the wall that is impeding us right now.
Gucci - I'll think about what you said and broach that subject when I think the timing is right. I'm very much in the "lets get this over with mode" so I'm not going to tolerate any hemming and hawing on the W's part.
