I pray daily for our marriage to be fully restored. It has not happened yet. But I also pray for the strength to go through this, and I am not a jiggling blob of jelly. Saul was indeed on his way to persecute more Christians. That is what he did. But God did intervene, and as St. Paul, he became one of the greatest apostles. I struggle a lot with God's will and free will as well. I will continue to struggle with it, I'm sure. I need to really trust in Him, and let him take this burden from me. But until I accept that it might not go the way I want it to go, I will continue to resist Him.
