Great to hear, thinker. I think you guys are going to be fine. You are going into Retro in a good place, great energy. I continue to pray for you. Unfortunately, my W seems to be going into the Retro as more of a last ditch effort thing. At least she is going. Please pray for us.
10 Days till Retro!

Tonight I am going out with a long-time friend who lives locally for a manly "ATF" evening (Alcohol, tobacco and Firearms, not necessarily in that order ). We're meeting at a pistol range after work.
Can you buy the whiskey, cigars, guns and ammo all at the same place?

Ammo is pre-purchased at Walmart. Long time friend is bringing his guns to the range, and (after securing the guns back at his house) we're headed out to a local pub for the whiskey and cigars.

Blech! You are going to smell awful when you get home!
I'm all for the whisky and shotguns, by the way, just never got into the whole cigar thing. I am going (solo) to Whiskeyfest in NYC in November. I like nothing more than a really good Scottish single malt WHISKY. I have recently taken a master class on nosing and tasting whisky. It is a great new hobby. And I hunt, and on the off season spend a lot of time at the range doing trap and skeet.

She wanted the ring. I bought it, paid for it, put it on her finger, and kissed her there in the store.
Well, reading that just made my 5 months on this site worth it! What a wonderful moment.
That's a huge step. Good job.

Thanks, but I didn't do anything but drop the rope and start standing up for myself. This (the ring) was COMPLETELY her initiative.
Believe me, it was not a breakthrough "Now we'll live happily ever after" moment. We still have a ton of issues. But it was DEFINITELY a significant step SHE made toward stabilizing the M.
Thank you Mrs. Thinker!
