I lack the time now to adequately write but I'm Just checking in fast to say "WTH is with your w?" again, and sending you a SIGH...for your stbxw. My MIL is here and requires 24/7 with the brain damage from radiation (the lung cancer is all over the place now, and her time with us is very limited. God help me, but I find myself a bit impatient b/c of the relentless nature of her needs..."please God, don't let ME be this way ever"....but I digress).
Um, don't worry about advice you get regarding your anger and all that. You're fine. She's angry. As for how long or how much she'll be like this, who knows? But Don't mind read or assume the worst, but be prepared for it. (I mean the text translations are ONLY worthwhile if you make them funny....and YOU COULD....OMG you could)
Seriously, I think she's a miserable woman who has no idea how to get out of this mess and MUST blame you for all of it. But does she regret it? YES...can she get out of it? No, not now.....and IN case K4d does not know, not only has she had an A (or 2 or 3 or ??) but she called you "satan" in front of your kids NOW she is apparently having an A with your children's UNCLE!! Gee, at least they won't have to welcome a stranger to the family, b/c he's already IN the family!!
Despite my approach to forgiveness, b/c i think WE have to do it for ourselves and our lives AND maybe for our M's if we are lucky, YOU do NOT need this type of women in your life as a wife. I just hope your healthy anger at the injustice you've endured, does not pollute your future with new women who will deserve trust and respect and honesty, which I hope you'll feel safe in giving. I know so many good women out there, so eventually you will be fine.
Sorry, but I don't think I'd hang in there hoping for a reconciliation/restoration with this wife, nor do I think it's a good idea, unless she has a detectable brain tumor that accounts for all this...just my .2 cents.

PS Brian Regan is a (clean!!) comic with a hilarious take on "middle aged" dating you must listen to sometime....re: our growing idiosyncrasies, etc. If you get a chance, you'll find that you are so not alone, and he'll make you laugh a lot.
