I did it! It took me 5 hours and 18 minutes to ride the 100 miles. That included 4 rest stops, and a 5th at mile 98 for beer and hot links! I averaged 19.2 MPH for the whole thing. It's a big accomplishment for me, and I'm real happy about it...I feel pretty good!

Things are going OK with the kiddos...took my oldest daughter out to dinner last night. Wife and little kids went to see her folks for the long weekend. Youngest daughter is opening up some and showing me more affection, and letting me show her more too. I told my oldest daughter that I knew she was trying to heal the wounds that I caused, and that I respected the sensitivity of those wounds for however long it takes for them to heal completely, and that I was so sorry. She told me that I didn't have to apologize...that she just needed some time.
Wife is open to me sometimes, and then she goes the other way and hardens up. I stay consistent, regardless. It's happened several times...we'll communicate some, and even share a laugh...then she'll harden back up.
I rode with some friends today and we did 75 miles on our bicycles! We rode pretty hard too! It does me a lotta good to keep a fresh batch of endorphins circulating through my cranium!
Our anniversary is coming up on the 24th of this month...been giving it some thought.
