True, alive, but we never really committed to it. And by "we" I mean "her" -- lots of excuses: Aunt Flo, tired, have to prep for work, worn out from gym, can we switch to tomorrow, I want to catch up on TiVo, it's too late (a perennial favorite -- had to get upstairs before 9:00 p.m. else "too late").
I really phrased that wrong, I doubt it was the schedule that was the problem...I just think that scheduling and spontaneity in a healthy marriage would both be desirable. And I get that you didn't stick to it anyway.

But then this was the woman who declared -- well before the bomb -- that if she had to choose between an extra hour's sleep and an hour's sex, she'd choose the hour of sleep every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I was there. Was awful. I actually thought if I never had sex again it would be just fine. I don't feel that way now, no way.

And with respect to (I think) @Kett, what was boring wasn't the "us" -- it was the "Smiley's Person." That was made quite clear in post-ugh discussion.
Well, you were the most likely suspect. Has nothing to do with now.
