Oh, gosh, Karen, S8 and I have had those sorts of looong nights too. He flies through everything, including the Math, but it is a constant struggle when it comes to writing. Writing a simple paragraph of five sentences is such a huge obstacle sometimes. (And here I like to write fiction in my spare time. Go figure.)
Thankfully, Third grade is going amazingly well for him (we just passed midway into this quarter) and his teacher seems pleased with his hard work.
