Hey, i've been around! Dennis was fine compared to other situations. At one point I am with him and he sees a cooler (on the benches) that was unattended. Most folks were facing the racetrack. Dennis proceeds to the cooler and opens it before I could even believe what he was doing. Needless to say he closed it quickly....that is all I needed some frustrated guy who has been losing all day pulling a bird because Dennis is in his cooler! One more thing, can he please pickup his pants and stop dragging his feet LOL!!!! I even caught his mom giving him the gears for who knows what....I did not ask. All I know is NGF told me next outing, Dennis is either staying home or going to dad's house. So you see K, I was not exagerating.
So D8 is with her mom for the next few days but I get her back on Sunday for her cousin's bday. Anyhow XW came to pickup D8 at apt....Looks like she put on weight (as her daughter told me at supper earlier this week). Looks a little tired and wanted to talk about her work (like the old days I guess). Well although I kind of feel for what she is going through, I do not have the same reflex to help. It is not my problem....she has someone else that she can share that with... Full weekend planned; starting with little supper at NGF's tonight, 50th wedding anniversary party for my BIL's parents (I know them for 40 of those years), Sunday is nephew's bday party (with D8). They are calling for rain all weekend so I may be able to watch a little soccer and maybe sneek out for a stogie with the BOYZ....no golf though unless the weather forecast is wrong!
No toys for this guy, but you got me thinking about a time frame for when LK gets off the injured reserve list and back into the game. I might have more of an idea if the prospects are looking up after my meeting tomorrow. Oh, and I am still looking to play in the far east league - this time in a colder northern region. It is what LK wants.
Very nice weekend...NGF met some of my family as she was my date at my brother in law's parents 50th wedding anniversary! She is a pretty quiet and classy woman (you know speaks well and slowly...not like me) and she seemed to hit it off with everyone. As I mentionned on another thread she gave me a compliment regarding how the ex could let me slip away... Speaking of the ex, we exchanged some e-mails and a phoen call on Friday regarding money for D8's schooling etc. During the pickup, she wanted to know what she was doing wrong and why I was mad at her. To which I responded that I am not mad at her but rather at the situation of having to deal with this type of stuff....but I will get used to it eventually. Meanwhile, I hardly slept on Saturday night....LJ was in action...my golf game on Sunday was also up and down .... 4 birdies 2 triples and one double!
Sounds like a great weekend. Looking forward to my turn eventually. It's been over a year since I've seen any "action" at all, which I find pretty dismaying and unbelievable.
