Well my daughter's orientation went great. I'm not going to get into all the strange details with my ex. It's the same old same old. She called two hours later, to ask me to ask my mother to watch them.
Here is something a little different though.....she is angry at me again. She hasn't been this way in a while and we argued a bit.
"you I don't appreciate what I have been doing lately as far as getting things ready for her school!"
"you don't respect me!" "I could at least receive a thank you!"
"you are cold to me!"
"you don't even care!"
"well fine, I'll just call your mom instead of dealing with you."
"The only reason you're acting this way is because I am seeing someone!"
I did validate a couple of things, but I also did not and will not let her get away with the BS ones. Not anymore. Not now that she is supposedly getting help.
I did my best to explain to her where she seems to be missing the mark, without coming off like a jerk.
At the end of the conversation, she did say, "I'm sorry. I am very defensive right now."
I was a bit surprised by all of this. She hasn't been angry in a long time. She seems to be bothered by me being distant again.
