Off to a great start this morning. W and I have a meeting tonight at D5's school, so I rolled out of the rack at 5:00 am and got a quick work out before work. Did some reading (Bible and No More Mr. Nice Guy), got the kids up (W usually does this), grabbed a shower and took S9 and one of our neighbor's kids to school.
Before I left, saw that W had dressed for a client meeting she has today. Black dress and some really hot shoes. I know, shoes don't normally do it for me, but these were black heels with strappy type thingys. Really looked sexy.
Anyway, I left without saying goodbye (W was in the back drying her hair). I was, and am, feeling confident today with the workout and reading already behind me. After dropping off S and neighbor's kid, I sent W an IM to say neighbor's kid, who is does not speak with anyone hardly, talked her head off the entire way to school. Apparently, I have a gift for talking with kids. W sends an IM back to say wow, she's surprised.
Feeling sort of cocky, I typed a response to W that said "Oh, by the way, you looked dam$ awesome this morning. Attractive shoes." Her only reply was "Thx." She then continued to send me IM's about how busy her day was. So, I don't think I offended her. Quite frankly, I didn't care how she felt. I gave her the compliment b/c it was the truth. Had the kids not been up and if our M was in the right place....
