Over the Shock and GALing 6

Can't decide if I should go with a 4 person tent initially and then get a 6 person if we stay interested in it or just get the 6 person. I read some stuff last night that said you should buy a tent that is 2 persons larger than the # of people who will typically be sleeping in it.

Depends on what you are going to do with it.

If you are backpacking, go with the lightest one.

If you are family car camping, go with the bigger one. The extra room is definitely nice.

That way, you have room for your gear.

Note: if you are camping where there are bears, don't put your gear in your tent...
