Over the Shock and GALing 6

Depending on the cost, I would go with the 6 man. There are 4 of us, and we have a 6 man tent. It's nice to have the room, especially for the kids. They can move around better in it, and just like you said, you can keep more stuff in it. The one I have has an extra large window on both sides. Think about that, too. It is nice to have as much air flowing through the tent as possible.
