We went as a family quite a few years ago and H wasn't overly keen but at the end he said he enjoyed it. It was a wonderful family night and the peace I felt as we walked across the gardens to the hotel was something that will stay with me forever. I remember thinking, this is what the peace of Christmas is really all about. people were calm and happy and they were calling out Merry Christmas. It was lovely. I do love Melbourne but now I'm caught between two states.
