There was one interesting bit, to me:

While some of this may have come from what your mom told him, some must have come from his observations. And if that's what he is seeing, I think there is a good chance that's what your H is seeing. If that's the case, you know it is going to work against you.

So, I would try to look at your actions and reactions from the other side, as well as you can. Are your boundaries clear, and being clearly enforced? I know you are a strong woman, but are you showing it?

Jeff. This is way off base. My S would like to see me angry and screaming at his father because he is angry at him. I choose not to live with anger or bitterness.

I can't change S any more than I can change my H. MY focus is on me - where it needs to be.

I don't back down from him and I don't back down from my H. I'm building my life and H can get on the train or not. My little engine can. I don't just thunk it.

I for one admire your stance and faith. Don't let anyone or anything deter you. You are strong and are doing very well. Rejoice ministries says that we will be looked at as peculiar for our strong stance.

Thanks for the phone call last night and I did already call this morning and leave a voice mail for the C. I will update as soon as I hear back today.

Keep on being strong. Your faith will bring him back. He can't possibly think he wants to stay in the "cave" for the rest of his life.

Your S is young and probably taking the worlds POV. Not surprised. But you are setting such a great example for him to follow if he ever has M struggles.

Busy morning today so I don't have long to post. My unemployment was deposited this morning and I've already paid most of my bills. I have to run out and make a deposit/pay a bill at one bank, drop off canning jars to my FIL, buy an oil filter and oil and then scoot back here before my son arrives to change my oil.

I am doing my level best not to worry about my H going on his trip. I just always worry when anyone is traveling. He promised to send me a text when he arrives wherever he is going.

Thank you, Kevin. Remember, I will be calling Saturday some time.

I actually have to laugh thinking about the cave. I was awfully comfortable in my big king size last night. ; ) Evil Grin.

Hey all. Quick little post and then I am on to hang with the older ladies at the bingo hall. LOL. My M loves it and so I go to hang with her.

I cleaned and did laundry and now I'm just about wiped out. But I can keep track of numbers - I think.

Yesterday I decided to visit a new church. Normally I go to a Catholic Mass, but I thought I'd try it. They prayed extensively for hurting families, people that are separated, that have difficulties with their children and on and on. I thought, who knew I was coming? Yeah, you know - the Big G did.

I took myself out to breakfast afterwards for a short-stack of pancakes and some bacon. It was relaxing to let someone else do the cooking.

After breakfast I called my MIL and said I was thinking of making spaghetti & meatballs. Living alone I don't usually make that unless its from a jar because I can't eat it all. She thought it sounded great.

About 5 I took the sauce and meatballs to her house. FIL brought in a fresh pepper and cucumber from the garden for the salad. They already had fresh tomatoes on the counter. She had garlic bread in the freezer. We were just setting the table when my H came home from his little trip.

He seemed pleasantly surprised to see a nice dinner, but I was the one surprised because I didn't expect him to get back until later. We had some light conversation about his trip. (Poor baby *cough* got soaked because it rained off and on both days.)

After dinner we had the gelatto and sorbetto I brought for dessert. They are French icecream and sorbet. The icecream is made with whole milk instead of cream so it is better for you.

Then he went to sit in the living room while I had coffee with my MIL. I am always so happy to spend time with her. I'm very lucky, because my MIL is one of my best friends.

I looked over at my H and he could barely keep his eyes open he was so tired. I said he should go to bed. H said he would in a bit, but I got the idea he was staying up because I was there.

I poured out the rest of my coffee and went in the living room and said, come on, I'm going. You need to get into bed. You can hardly hold your eyes open.

I actually took him by the hand and lead him to his bedroom. I waited while he brushed his teeth and then tucked him in, gave him a peck on the cheek and turned to go. He reached out for a hug and gave me a kiss on the lips and said goodnight.

Yes, I did say I tucked him in. It just seemed so natural and the weird thing was he looked grateful that I did.

I'm not going there. No expectations. Going now.... Bingo!!!!!!

Hey guys, I won 30 dollars at bingo. Not too shabby. Actually, I just got back what I spent and then a little more. It still felt good to holler.
