Very unique. It says museum, but it's kind of a zoo, but it's not that either!
Mt. Lemmon is right on the edge of town, and is a little over 9000 feet high. Which is a bit taller than anything in the midwest. It's got the southernmost ski resort in the country. Though some winters that doesn't work out so well, especially as it has been kind of droughty lately. But the lift is open year round, and you can go up and see for miles and miles. It's also a lot cooler than in town, so it's a nice summer day trip!
And I think you could find a friendly guide.
If you are forced to go to San Diego again, that's not too far to get to, either!
Time for dinner at the to-be-ex-in-laws. And I'll get to see S19... he flew in last night, W picked him up a the airport. S21 and a friend went over to fetch him sometime after midnight, and they came back and hung out, and played computer games all night. I did get to say hello as I went out the door this morning. He leaves tomorrow afternoon for college, no idea how he is going to get packed!
I also had my wonderful dad, literally come up behind two of them and knock their heads together. That pretty much dispersed the college boys.
He was frustrated because he had told them earlier that I was only 15.
And no one is ever "forced" to go to San Diego. You go there with your heart full of pure joy to be somewhere so beautiful. D's first choice is UCSD - which is actually in LaJolla -- which is absolutely GORGEOUS!!
BobbiJo... Ha! I just saw your response about the ice cream! Typical question!!! Hey, I see you're in Iowa... You're not too far from Stacy and me! Maybe we should do a MidWest Group!

The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
