We're in the same state ... and I'm a few weeks ahead of you in this process. I'm sorry. This whole business just stinks. Once the other party has been served, the next step is the initial conference. You'll get something in the mail saying when it is. Mine was set about a month from when I got served ... which for me just happens to be tomorrow. I don't know how it works with lawyers involved, but for us it is a chance to exchange paperwork and decide what happens next. If nothing is contested, the 90-day waiting period starts the day the other person was served, after which the judge makes the D official. If it is contested, the timeline gets pushed out. I would assume that at anytime you can put the D on hold.
