I ended up so far from a beach because both my family and H's had the gall to settle smack dab in the middle of the US, which I think is about as landlocked as it gets! We have plenty of rivers, and a few lakes of some minor substance, but no oceans anywhere!
And hey, I would love to go to England someday! You have so much wonderful history and cool stuff there! I have been to France (when I was 17), but I didn't quite get to any beaches then. I hope that soon I will be independently wealthy and have the means to bop around to all those places in the world I've often longed to see. Right now I am revisiting Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series (a big favorite of mine), so I have a yen for the Scottish highlands at the moment!
Congratulations on your successful experiment! What sort of experiment were you working on? Biology/medicine wasn't my strongest suit, but I do have a science background, so I might understand it to a certain extent!
