After talking with Michelle on the alternate universe, she thought I should pass this on: Keep a jug of water in your car for any future cases when the girls here get you so "overheated"!

Yep, car broke down on the way to lunch, left me in a middle turn lane between two lanes of traffic going each way. Don't know the cause yet. A police officer pulled up shortly afterwards, and gave me a nudge to a nearby side street, which was good. I had already called the roadside assist folks, and gotten an ETA of help of 70 minutes. After I'd been standing out in the sun for almost an hour a man from a house across the street asked if I'd like some water! He let me come into his air conditioning, and gave some of the best ice water I've ever had! Three glasses later, the tow truck showed up, got the car hooked up, and dragged me to my favorite fix-it shop. They were pretty busy, so they couldn't get to it right away, so I called s21, who didn't work today, and he can to fetch me. We stopped for my lunch, and a snack for him on the way home, and had a nice talk about "stuff". He is a good kid. He's going to let me use his car tomorrow, since he doesn't work, and can use his Ducati to do anything he needs to do.
I should carry some water with me, though.... especially when you all are around!
