Honestly in this mess, I believe it does one a world of good to get a bit of time off. Granted if I were still married, I would only be getting time off when my parents take the kids(2 of them anyway), so even then not fully "off". The boys didn't want to go to their grandparents so much this weekend, S16 wanted to be home and see his friends. I get that but I also know that the nights he spends with his grandparents will soon be coming to an end due to work, school and his growing social life. Plus, I haven't had but a few hours off since this whole mess began.

It certainly doesn't make you or me or any other parent for that matter bad because they want that little bit of time for themselves to regroup. This division of time and holidays isn't always what we want but we need to put on our happy face for the kids and make our own special time with them. I did this when I was a flight attendant and rarely got a holiday off, I can do it again now.
