If I were originally the one to walk away and have an affair, I would be responsible for assuring my wife that the affair is over.
I can't do that from darkness. I still work at the same place as the woman though I don't interact with her at all.
I would gladly find another job to show my commitment if the situation were different but it was so hard to find work these days. That is what led to the separation in the first place.
