Actually, my BIL is the husband of my first husband's sister. We were married for 14 years -- he's the father of my children. Then I had a short, second disastrous M.
So even though he and I divorced first H, the relationship I had with his sis and her H (and my twin nieces, now 22) stayed strong. People think it's weird, but you divorce one person, not their whole family.
I only have one sister, who married a long time ago, and divorced shortly after -- no kids, so my nieces are my kids only cousins -- anyway, we're all close. I wanted to make sure my boys got to see him before it gets too bad. The girls are older and will probably continue to see him until the end. It'll be fast - 4-6 weeks. He's on hospice care, methadone for the pain.
Anyway, I teach, so I'm just happy that I've had so much time to be there for all of them this summer. But it ends soon as school is starting.
And I think you should TOTALLY go on a blind date w/me. Since we've never met, it's like a double blind date.
Holy cow!! We have all the makings of a reality television show here!
Maybe we should set it up like the Dating Game. Bachelor #1, 2 and 3 -- ha!
What do you need to know to shop me around?? Won't these guys be suspicious that you've never met me?

Damn -- I think I'm in love!!
Anyway, pick the one that you like the best. And the guy with the possible disease -- unless it's an STD, that doesn't phase me.
I love how we've totally hijacked this thread for our own nefarious purposes. I know big words for a special needs preschool teacher And so far, the only one in on our dirty little secret is Jeff.
Shout out to you, Jeff. AZ is NOT local, but I may be visiting there soon. Younger daughter seriously looking at the Honors College at ASU. She hates the Wisconsin winters and is totally wimping out and hightailing it out of here after she graduates next spring.
Since this is Steve's thread, I thought I should mention him.
S9 had his second day of the seeding tournament today. We were in Elgin, again. We lost two and won one. We solidified our spot within the top bracket, since we won all three yesterday. Now we know who two of the teams above us are! S9 only let him three goals in three games today, though. He must have been shot on 35 times in the last game.
A funny... he yelled, at one point (to his new coach)... "COACH! I respectfully request a new set of defenders!!!" (He's the keeper.
We just got off the boat. Took the dog. He'd never been. And, my H pulled out an archaic kneeboard he got about 15 years ago. The boys thought it was the best. So, we had to try that... They looked like they were riding in a kayak, since I'm so used to watching them wakeboard. No legs!
I'm makin' some phone calls in the am!

The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
