Not sure I get the point of the friend communicating this but I'm sure intentions are good.

Hey alive! Reading your thread over my pre-run fueling here in Formerly Communist Country. I am so TOTALLY jazzed about where you're at! Gotta fill me in IRL when I return to those States that are United.

Appalled Mutual Friend communicated that (I think) because she's TRULY appalled. It's not that she doesn't "get" divorcing or even that she doesn't "get" affairs (at least in an intellectual sense). She just finds it repellent that WAW -- and AMF knows the Way I've been Walking on the DB Path -- talks about her adventures (a la your TMI reference) so openly and so gleefully. AMF just thinks it's wrong.

And AMF is one of these people (@Gypsy to the contrary notwithstanding) who thinks it does matter and is wrong for Walkaways to construct phonied-up identities for their Left-Behinds when doing so is so transparently rationalizing their own decisions, especially when those Left-Behinds are co-parents. She sort of takes the position, "You're getting what you want [i.e., divorce], haven't you done enough harm?"

As for mojo-generation and nurses (@hoosiermama)...... The R&R part of the trip has been Mojoriffic! My facility with the foreign language came right back; I had funny chats with the locals, nice hikes, wonderful meals (must've gained some poundage, what with the fresh pastries...oy!) The only drain on the Mojo has been the fact that our friends and former enemies in Europe STILL haven't figured out the Magic of the Bottomless Cup of Coffee. cry

Went to dinner last night in Former Communist Country. Had this absolutely head-smashing fresh raspberry sorbet...in champagne. Oh, yeah. Take a scoop of sorbet, drop it into really, really cold champagne.... I'm pretty sure I still have a complete skull, but I'm a little afraid to check the mirror... crazy

Now it's time for a run along the wide river (October Marathon GAL is getting a Whole Lot More Real), shower-up, and start being a serious International Businessman.

And FYI/apropos of nothing/out of left field/etc. Watched the police of European Country arrest 2 WiFi hackers in the airport yesterday. It was a team that set up a false free public WiFi point in the airport. Scary stuff. Made scarier by the fact that, when the CNN International came on the teevee this a.m., they had a story about just that risk....
