Ouch Jon! That's a rough session to end up in for a first visit! I help with the group a little now and then and one time when it was the week on single sexuality we had a new woman in the group. Oh heavens! That was a rough one. We showed her the book and explained the cycle of the classes and that it would be different the week. She skipped the next few but came back when the series started over and was much better off doing that.

It's way too small a f@ck!ng world! I just had a co-worker come over and ask me if my H's name was [X]. A few things went through the back of my head, such as "only til October", "the cheating bastard filed for D" etc. What actually finally came out of my hanging-open mouth as "kinda."
Luckily he realized he had stuck his foot in his mouth and kept walking.
Ugh.

Turns out he's in my STBXH's unit. STBXH doesn't talk about the sit obviously, and certainly isn't going to advertise his As. So the guy just noticed the same name and asked a dumb question.
It really threw me for a loop emotionally though. I still have a hard time dealing with those questions.

ROTFLMAO. I like this one! I will have to remember it! Maybe I'll add "since it's been so long since he spoke to me!" to the end.
Or I'll just go with, "who?"

Kinda! I love that too!! I'm totally going to use it from now on.
I know what you mean about getting thrown when people ask about the STBXH. I still get e-mails from people who I haven't spoken to for a while asking how H is and I'm thrown every time because I really don't like having to explain and then get sympathy/people not knowing what to say afterwards!
STBXH seems to be going to the house today, so MIL asked if I wanted to have brunch tomorrow.
I guess it's good that he's actually going to a family function for the first time in months. It's hard to be bumped from the main event though. I can't imagine the in laws don't feel awkward though, not fun for them either.
I might do a pub crawl tonight with some guys from my unit.
