My first reaction was she just 'blinked' but that puts me back into wondering what she is doing, waiting to react to her, etc.
Don't go there. What and why she is doing anything isn't your problem. Step back from HER issues and there's nothing to react to. There are then things for you to observe. Besides, you'll go nuts trying to figure her out - cuz she may not know either.

Why not just "Ok"? Why does she need to know you'll be going into the office? "Ok" acknowledges you got the email without telling/asking her anything. Let HER wonder what you are thinking/doing by simply responding "Ok." Is he mad? Is he happy? What does this mean....?
