Well here's a new one.

H has a passion for high end hi-fi equipment and has a room set up for his listening pleasure.

While he was away, someone tried to break into the house while I as there, they didn't succeed as the dog scared them away.

On his return from overseas he moved all his equipment to a friends house (I think he was planning this anyway as a lead up to the Bomb).

I have just received an email from him saying this is an "opportune time to claim theft of the hi-fi stuff, given the attempted break in" he wants to claim for a loss that didn't happen, now I know he has totally lost the plot! I have not responded as I am completely lost for words and quite disgusted and I certainly will not be a party to anything like that.

Oz,

Why the heck is he doing something so stupid?

Stuck for cash? Getting back at someone - anyone. H thinking he's got something he's got control over?

All mind reading - the list will go on an on. Bizarre.

You are quiet right in not supporting this in any way.

Oh boy - what a wonderful life we're in.

Have a great evening and a good sleep.

Off to work now frown wink

Yep Mac, I think he is realising that once he goes out on his own, he still has to support D and I (that's the law here), life won't be so rosy financially and yes, you see the equipment is all his, never ever referred to it as ours.

Have a good day at work.

shocked

Okay, that smiley doesn't even come CLOSE to how far my jaw has dropped open. Like I had to reread your post a couple of times because it was so odd.

Really?

Two words: Nut Job. Nutjob. A clear case of unadulterated nutjobbery.

"H, I am not willing to participate in illegal activities. While money is tight, I am not so poor that I am willing to land in jail."

Some alien out there done sucked his brain out completely.

Just...wow.

Yes, it does make your jaw drop doesn't it, I am still sitting at my desk, looking at it because I cannot believe it, I wonder if this a new breed of alien that has appeared to wreak havoc in our once comfortable happy lives.

I don't think I will reply via email or should I?, I am beginning to wonder if there is any real hope for him returning the real world that's not normal at all. Still sitting here with jaw on the floor.

Actually not responding to that at all might be best. It really doesn't deserve a reply.

I was feeling a bit that way, that it didn't deserve a reply, although he may ask me again tonight then I will have to respond. Unbelievable, I can't even believe that he would think I would even agree to something like that.
