The 'little guy' is twelve? Sheesh.. he's a tween not a toddler. Give the kid some respect for his age. If he's treated like he's a baby.. he'll act like one. Goodness knows I have to work on correcting that assumption with my daughter at times!
I just call him the little guy (who incidentally turned 13) on this forum. I would love to treat him with respect, however, I think he should earn it (a little). As far as treating him like a baby, I can get you NGF's phone number if you like!
The week away may make him realizea few things. As you may recall he was threatening to move in with his dad for the next 4 weeks. That may also do him some good as he will have a male figure around.
Mike, i am not sure that he is worried about being replaced as the little guy....maybe as the man of the house? Who knows...all i know is that i will be little person free tommorow morning and i plan to take advantage of it!
well John...being experienced I can tell you this...Michele has an 11 year old daughter..the youngest of 3 daughters..and the youngest was fine with things untuil Michele and I started getting serious then she started acting out...and then when caleigh was introduced she started acting out a little more..mnothing serious or life changing but enopugh for us to notice...so when the youngest gets introduced to even younger then things start getting a little strange at times....when the usual dynamic is changed a little...then you can expect the young ones to change a little too..
Thanks for the input Mike. We both really enjoyed our time without the kids. I love children especially mine...LOL....but it sure is nice to get some adult time ... alone. Nothing new to report...things are going smoothly....D8 will be back with me from Wednesday to Wednesday (XW again with her plans). I respond more and more with texts,,,nice and short. She either e-mails and or calls....all very cordial. I think it is the best way to go. My sister invited NGF and i to an adult only BBQ next Saturday. Following Saturday we hae a 50th wedding anniversary party...so NGF has an open invitation to both... Summer weather has finally arrived....should last a couple of weeks and then back to winter.
I was in your vicinity this past week and can vouch that it was glorious summer weather. Hopefully, winter will be delayed since summer had such a late start this year.
Glad to hear things are going well for you!

If I had been there on my own I would have looked you up for sure but S12 and H were also with me and it would have been just a little awkward (H doesn't even know about this forum). We went to Quebec City for a few days, drove through Montreal on our way there and back and spent a few hours there. I just love both cities!!!

I hear you Addie, not sure it is worth introducing spouses to the existence of this forum.
I think Quebec City (smaller) does a better job with the tourists. I really love old Quebec and the nice restaurants and bistros. I reccomend both cities for folks who do not want to fly to Europe and get hammered by the Euro! Hey, it is not France but it is definatelly a unique area in North America that I think more people should explore.
