FIB, listen, I have not walked in your shoes and I will not pretend to know how you are feeling or what you have been through.
But, I want to be sure to tell you that this was not your fault. It wasnt. Your wife is broken and you cant fix her. You never could.
There was nothing you could have done differently, nothing you lacked, nothing that could have affected this. Please dont look back and wish you had done anything differently in all this. It happened exactly the way it was supposed to happen.
You are an honorable man, a wonderful father, a dedicated doctor.
She is broken.
So, now is the time to pick up the pieces of your life, take what you have learned and begin anew.
You have so much to offer and one day you will find someone who appreciates it all.
