The purpose is to discuss with them the form that he wants me to sign because he's not giving me any other information regarding it (i'm not signing it either way).
Also, I know that he is applying for a waiver of joint signatures due to emotional abuse because after extensive research and phone calls, it is the easiest way to file and get approved as you don't really need evidence and it doesn't have to go to trial and the accused spouse does not have to be called in to defend themselves.

So I was told by USCIS to actually go in and speak with them in person in order to protect myself. That's all I want, not to screw him over, not to prevent him from staying here, just to protect myself.
