I am well aware of low testosterone. The nurse practitioner put him on a testosterone patch for 2 weeks, and then tested his levels. Duh, they came back normal. (That is the purpose of the patch, right?) He has never had a repeat test.

At one point the dr. found he had high protein levels in his urine, indicating kidney function problems. He was tested three times and on the third test it was in acceptable levels.

He has a lump in his groin which is probably just a fatty tumor. (He has many of these.) Not an issue really, except where its located. Probably pressing on veins/valves or nerves. He never had it checked by the doc.

Doctor told him lots of men have this problem. Totally deflated any motivation to find the reason. Doc did recommend he have an ultasound, but he hasn't.

Hasn't been back since. Even lied to me once and said he'd been back and the doc told him to take garlic, the lump was no problem, and at some point he should have an ultrasound. Had my own appointment after and told the doc I was happy to hear he'd been back to see him. Doc said he was sorry, but hadn't seen H in 6-9 months. (and that was in May)

I only said that whether he ever wanted to ML to me again or not, he should have it checked further. It would be really sad if he finally went and they told him if he'd come in sooner they may have been able to help him, but he was out of luck because of how long he waited. That was the last I said on the subject.

So yeah, BOB and I are well-acquainted.
