Well, I sent flowers to her at work from the girls. No I love yous or anything. I bought a small cake and had "happy birthday Mommy" written on it. I got home with my kids and D7 made a poster and a card for wife. Wife got home and announced that she was taking the girls out for dinner and guess who is not invited. I totaly expected this so I told the girls to have fun at dinner with mommy with a smile and joy in my voice. I had the birthday cake down in the basement so it would be a suprise. D7 and I went down and lit the candles and brought the cake upstairs singing happy birthday. Wife and kids blew out the candles. I told the kids goodbye and snuck in a one armed hug around wife as she was holding D23 months. She did not get all tensed up either. I told her happy birthday and left.
