Guys and Gals you have no idea what a great night we had!
After go-between said that "friend" said no one would turn up. And after getting up to 7:00pm on my own - was feeling VERY down. Maybe "she" was right.
And then one turned up and then four more than then two more and ... the place was full.
We had a GREAT night. What made it all the more perfect was that one of the visitors got this from "friend" ....
"Hi hope you are enjoying the party at ken. Say hi to merl. Didn't think you would choose sides but at least we know now. Enjoy safe drive both of you. "
Does she think this is a game? Sides? Screw her. And the horse she rode in on.
There are no "sides". Just one "team" that she doesn't belong to.
J - the person that got this - texted back - "Not taking sides. Enjoying ourselves.... etc" and a few other bits and bobs. J is NOT impressed with "friend".
M - our best friend hugged me later and said she was pleased that I was handling this so well. Very impressed. And it would be over soon.
You have no idea how I wanted to text back to "f" and tell her &%&^%&^$ and (*&&%$. And I didn't.
Wa a bit disappointed that my in-laws didn't turn up but....
And now it's 12:35 in the morning. Bars a mess and I'm off to bed.
Think that was a great night. No "steering" from my side. Things just happened.
