I miss having a pool outside my door. Thankfully my cousin has a pool and only lives a mile away so I can take advantage! I almost never do, but still...the option is there. smile

Yeah Julia, what neat, unusual things do your flats have in them?

huh? What is an electric shower? That sounds scary! Water and electricity don't mix.

So you'd think! They heat the water right at the shower. Some of them have a pump to provide some pressure.

Lol Jeff, Doner Kebabs that's brilliant! Do you know, I have never had one, the meat just looks so disgusting. My brother used to get them all the time - rank!

I didn't know there was another kind of shower that wasn't electric??

Front loading washing machines??

I didn't eat Kebabs a lot while we were in England, but when we lived in Germany I did! THey are probably really disgusting, but I would just about kill for a Doner kebab with feta cheese right now!

There's pretty much no such thing as an electric shower here! All the water systems are pressurized, and we have central hot water heaters.

Front loading washers are getting more common here, now, due to using less water than the top loaders. Though our front loaders make yours look like little toys!

The doner kebab with feta sounds good in theory, maybe not in practice. i could sink one now, I'm Hank Marvin ('starving' for those not familiar with cockney rhyming slang wink )

I'm sure they are awful for you, and I don't want to know what's in them! But, oh my, they are good!
