OK, guess I have good news. I talked to the bank woman today b/c she told H yesterday it turns out that only one payment had been made in May, June, and July. I had faxed over my copies of the checks. So I call her today and she said well we're not giving you the car b/c when we switched the payments from $168 to $365 in April, I kept sending the $168 checks (since I never knew of the change). Apparently b/c my checks were $168 instead of the other it caused some kind of problem. She said it was her supervisor's decision. So I asked for the name/number of her supervisor.
I called and spoke to him and he acted like he'd heard none of what was going on. He kept asking well you weren't making payments or something, and I said no, just the wrong amount. So he called back an hour or so later and said he'll resolve it for now by letting me pick up the car for $500 (to pay the repo fee). And I agree to start paying the monthly amount each month. (Now that I know, of course I will.) H has to pick up the car, and says he will do tomorrow.
