YOU aren't the one hurting him. You would be allowing the natural consequences of HIS own poor, selfish, and heartless decisions kick in.

If you tell a child that if they are not in bed with lights out by 9 o'clock, then there will be no TV the next day, and they fail to follow the rule, you didn't "take away their TV." THEY, LOST their TV privileges by their own bad behavior, knowing full well what the consequences were going to be.
