So...instead...I'm procrastinating on packing. And going to happy hour after work.

Beer makes everything better. grin

As Billy Currington says..."God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!" I'll drink to that!

Was it Franklin who said that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy? Great quote- I love it!

Hope happy hour was fun.

Why yes it was! One of the best quotes ever!!!!! smile

Happy Hour was fun.

As was rafting. Pictures are up on Facebook. smile

Trying to camp out...not so much. Campgrounds were full and after a few hours of driving, we had to head home. Which was fun since I was the one doing all the driving. Didn't help that I was a bit grumpy cuz of the anniversary thing - didn't expect it to hit me this hard after being separated for 3 (although we did do dinner and a movie that first year - weird).

Spend a lot of today crying. Was just sad for some reason and couldn't shake it. So I curled up in bed with a book and played around on my computer a bit. Guess I needed some alone time with my thoughts/feelings.

Was feeling a bit recovered tonight, so I watched Baby Mama - that movie is FUNNY! I wasn't expecting much from the previews, but my roommate got it from the library so I watched it. I have to say I was impressed!

((((((((Michelle))))))))

You know, I wouldn't be shocked if there is a little sadness on these days forever. I think it just means we feel. I don't think it means we have regrets over what we have done. Let the feeling come, feel them, and then move on!

I'm glad rafting was great!

I agree with Jeff. A little sadness will always follow that day. (Unfortunately for me, my anniversary is also my D's birthday... )
Hugs girlfriend!

Sorry you had a rough day yesterday Michelle. Anniversaries are definitely tough days. I'm not looking forward to 18SEP coming around this year.

Watching a funny movie is absolutely the best medicine for the sadness! I've been thinking about renting that movie but haven't because it seemed like it would be really dumb. I respect your opinion so I'll definitely go rent it now! Thanks for the suggestion!

Have a wonderful Monday - as wonderful as a Monday can be! smile

I thought it would be really dumb too. But it was there. And like I said, really enjoyed it. Good dialogue, some funny twists and turns.

(((everyone)))

I am feeling better. And yes, I suspect those dates will always bring a little sadness. But I guess it's on to bigger and better things. smile

Talked to SIL this morning....Bit of a whirlwind conversation.

SIL: good morning!
Michelle: morning chica, how goes it?
SIL: It goes good :):)and yourself?
Michelle: pretty good. keeping busy at work. went on a great date with [RB] last night, i think i am still full lol
SIL: smile awesome!did he meet the parents yet?
Michelle: not yet. talked to my mom about setting something up
SIL: nice. I saw a comment a while ago about going to the parents for dinner and so i was wondering laugh
Michelle: ah, that was just me. [RB] was in napa that day
SIL: I finally talked to [STBXH]. I think his birthday really shook him up and started to give him some perspective. He was telling me about how he is trying to turn things around and how he has been looking back at everything and how poor his choices have been and he actually said something to the effect of, "I failed at my marriage". I had never heard him take responsibility for it.
don't know why, but I wanted to tell you that
Michelle: wow. thanks.
SIL: also, just between you and me, he has started going to AA meetings
i was happy to hear that too
Michelle: oh wow! that is GREAT
SIL: so where did you and [RB] go for your date yesterday?
Michelle: aioli. it's a spanish restaurant. tapas
SIL: smile does [RB] also live in [X]?
Michelle: yeah, same part of town as me actually
SIL: that's awesome! saves gas laugh
Michelle: lol yep yep
SIL: well, I had better get back to work. Hope you have a great day and I'll chat with you soon! Bye
Michelle: kk.laters!
