It is good that your S16 wants to stay at your house, but being 16 once myself, I wonder if he's telling his dad that he's staying at your house, just so that he can sleep over somewhere else. This is one of the reasons why it's good to have some communication between divorced/separated parents about their children.
Hope you have a good weekend! Ours is a long one here in Canada which means the island will be packed with campers and other type holidaymakers.
Take care.

Seems I misjudged S16. He said the reason he didnt turn up on Thurs night/Fri morning was b/c he missed the time we had agreed so out of respect went back to his dad's. I understand he got some grief for coming in so late/early.
Don't want to go into details but think my life finally moved forward in a way I wanted it to over the weekend.

I think OWs want very much to have the baby so that they have a solid claim staked. Of course, they might consider that WASs have already left one family, which does not bode so great for the next, but OWs don't care about that.
I worry about this some myself.
They will cling like death.
