Do a google search for locks is another option or call one of your handy theater friends.

I called a locksmith who gave me some tips to pick the lock and that didn't work, so he's coming out in the next hour or so. It's $60 and I'm making S15 pay half. If he does it again, the whole $60. Problem solved! Karen

He was cute and tall, probably married though, I didn't ask. He gave me a lockpicking tool so if it happens again we can do it ourselves hopefully. I did tell him he should come out and see me at the theatre. smile That's as flirty as I get. I think he was about 10 years younger than me though! Wore my painting shirt, covered with paint, next time the VS top definitely... smile Karen

Kat has cars on her mind and Karen has locks on hers...

Reminds me of a Pink Floyd song that references being with a girl in the backseat of a car trying to "pick her locks." LOL.

So exciting morning this morning. I woke up at 3am hearing S15 in the living room. I'm like what are you doing up? He says our car's gone. I kept saying what are you saying? He said some guys took our car. Apparently their noise or bright lights on the truck woke him up. Sure enough car was gone. I asked him why he didn't tell me sooner (they came at 1:30), he said he was scared and didn't know. I tell him ok next time someone's taking mom's car please come tell me. smile

For some reason I am really calm, either my ADs are really great or maybe lack of sleep. I call 911 and they said the credit union repo'd my car. I said well since I made all the payments isn't that theft? They said they can't do anything.

They have a webpay service on their site I make the payments on and I went on and my 7/19 payment they took out the 5.95 service charge (they charge for making the payment). But they didn't pay it! I had almost $1000 in my account at that time, so clearly their screw up. Can you imagine???

I called up H at 3:00 b/c his name is on the title; I was half asleep and freaking out a little. He called me back and said they had asked for records or something like that (and sounded like he didn't send them) but he said they shouldn't have repoed. I didn't know at the time the web pay screwed up though.

H has actually been really great about this. He said he'd pick up the kids right away, and I said we're fine, we just got groceries and everything. I could call friends for rides or a taxi or ambulance in emergency. He's sent me several emails, and he was the one that had me check my bank account & helped me figure this out. He also said he's going to be at the bank at 9 about it.

I'm strangely way calmer than I should be. The kids and I have been laughing about it. D9 went back to sleep but S15's been up since 1:30! I watched some tv with him and been joking. He told me he was scared at the time they took the car, but now says he wasn't---trying to play tough guy but he's so not.... Karen

Wow, (((((((Karen)))))))

shocked

That is unreal. I am impressed that you maintained your calm throughout this insane turn of events. It speaks well of you.

Hopefully the Credit Union will realize the error and make it good to you. They need to.

Hugs and blessings.
