I've wanted a hybrid for such a long time but ended up with a Hyundai Sonata. LOVE IT! It cost a lot less than the hybrids too. smile

Actually the insight cost just a tad more than the Saturn I wanted. When I thought about getting a hybrid for that much, I thought it was the best choice.

Holding my breath regarding what the interest rate may be but I am meeting my Dad at the dealer tonight. I know if the rate is too high my Dad will look at other financing options but if I can get this to work with a decent rate, I will be thrilled. They are already looking for the color I want and I took in proof of Alimony/Child support plus pay stubs. Talked to my friend at the bank and she said that was a good sign. The guy at the dealer is yep, you should have your car tomorrow(but the actual car maybe in a couple days since I have to wait for the gov't approval on cash for clunckers.) So I am a bit nervous as I have never bought a new car for me before. Gee what a wonderful year this is going to be!!

Hey, not trying to rub this in but I wanted to let you know that sometimes the good guys win. I am going to be picking up my 2010 Honda Insight tomorrow night/Saturday morning!! I got charcoal gray since they couldn't get me the blue. First new car that is just mine(well my Dad is on it but it is mine). I am so excited!! Really the wind of change is blowing.

Congratulations, Kat! How fun! I just read in the newspaper how they are suspending the Cash for Clunkers program, so you should have JUST got in! That worked out perfectly!

I told you guys I felt things changing!! A hunk magnet, hum, it is not a sports car but I am sure the smile on face will maybe catch an eye or two(they will secretly being saying, jeez what is her problem? She is smiling like that weird Cheshire cat!!)

Kat being the magnet...from your lips to God's ears! wink

It only has 63 miles on it. I am sure I was driving the sales people nuts last night teasing them that no one can test drive it!!

As for getting it in under the wire, I had barely gotten home and my Dad was on the phone telling me to look on the internet. The program may be suspended. Then he called back with a link to an article that said that they would honor the cash for Clunkers already in the pipeline. I do seem to be lucky when it really matters, so let's keep them fingers crossed!

Congrats, Kat!!! I know you're going to love it!!! And hybrid-that sounds wonderful. The funny thing is I kind of like that charcoal gray color, but they didn't have it, and we got the blue!!!

I knew things were going to get better. Your H was kind of like the sinking ship with holes in it, and now he's not dragging you down with him!!!! Karen

You are right, he isn't!! I can't believe all the cr@p I had in my SUV!! I told the kids to just get everything out and I would sort through it because some of the stuff needs shredded, etc. Anyway my questionable friend calls, apologizing for not calling on my birthday. To be honest I hadn't even noticed. Anyway we get to talking and I didn't touch a thing.

So two of my "Secret" goals are coming true and I think the third...getting my house the way I want it will happen too since it is such a mess right now. I can't ignore some of it. LOL It is time to start letting go of this stuff. I have held on to long and all it has done is weigh me down. The garbage men are not going to like me much the next few weeks! Besides I can't draw anything/anyone to me if I haven't made "room" for them in my life. wink
