I will check out your posts, though I am probably way behind. After 9+ hours in the car yesterday, I am in North Carolina visiting with my sister. The plan is to visit our SMW on the way back North.

Friday was spent at Ft Drum in NY. My friend's son re-deployed to Iraq yesterday. His truck was going to be picked up on Saturday by his Dad but he called his Mom in a panic that it had to go Friday. So, withing 10 minutes of her call I was showered and out the door to help them out.

It is important for these things to percolate. We have to be able to see beyond our own pain to really understand how we got here, how to make it better, and how to be whole after we go through this.

I am good. Playing with my niece and nephew is my idea of fun & relaxation, and I am also glad to be able to give my sister a hand. With two- age 2 1/2 and 9 months - it is all hands on deck.

I'm sure with kids that young your sisters hands are definitely full. lol. Kids are great. I really enjoy mine.

Hi all. I am having fun doing just nothing much. I am helping with the kids and that and just sitting on the floor with them is great. You always see the world differently through a kids' eyes.

Interesting, I have had texts from my H every day. Not just one a day, like a running dialog of what he is doing.

We are both sharing concern about our son who is planning to leave (today) for a trip to Colorado and back. Talk about worry! This is a trip of about 2,000 miles - one way. It really isn't something he can afford to do. And, I am so worried that his car will break down. If it does, he is getting back here on the Trailways bus and getting around on the bus at school - no more car.

Anyhow, we both tried independently to convince him to go someplace closer. He ignored both of us and has his mind set. So, I just have to pray that he will be safe.

So, I've responded minimally to his texts. H is actually staying at the house to take care of the dog. H seems awfully happy at home. Maybe it will give him something to miss when he goes back to Mommy's house. : )

I have been relaxing. Even spent some money on myself on the way here. I bought a new flat-iron for my hair and some nail polish etc. I've played with it a little.

I think later we are going to go to Cold Stone Creamery. I've never been there, so I'm looking forward to that.

My sister is meeting with someone right now so I have a little computer time. I am going to try and check on some of y'all.
