We aren't alone, as I and many others have been watching this for years. I think the media has allowed us to see we aren't alone, but also, I believe we have become such a "throw away" society thus marriage doesn't mean what it once used to.
A vow, a promise, a word, doesn't mean anything to so many, society's focus isn't on our morals, but has become so "Me" oriented. What's right for me, instead of what is best for my family, our community, our church, our country, our world.
We've been given all sorts of warning about our behavior, we've been given events that should have had us all stop, cling to our families, our neighbors, our community, yet for the most part, we aren't listening. We are slowly destroying our morals, our beliefs, ourselves.
There are many similarties between our situations and the celebrities, they after all, are human, just as the rest of us. The problem, the media is allowing it to be more acceptable.
At least this is my view.
For the positive side of this, those of us that are left behind, grow, acknowledge our mistakes, and begin to listen to our hearts to reach towards a greater understanding. So, with every actions, there is a reaction and a postive drawn from a negative.
