Glad you took the GMAT. I wish you well on the results!

If you have spare money...."Fire and Ice" smells nice.....

Would you mind listing the self help books you have read so far?.....

Sure, the ones that really resonated with me...

Divorce Busting
Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus (this is the one I should have read when we got married!)
Codependent No More (not completely applicable as my H isn't an addict, but I treated him like one)

A few more that I can't remember...

On hold at the library or at home waiting...

Very nice start.

The bomb was my wake up call to continually work on ME.

Reading self help books. Practicing positive changes on others until habit. Interactions with MsR2C are much better after practicing new habits with others.

Massage, facials, pedicures etc are great ways to take care of ME.

Singing, dancing, laughing....

List some of yours.......

I go get my hair done about every 4 weeks - my sister is a cosmetologist so it doesn't cost too much $$
Shopping! Buying clothes & makeup.
Playing with DD
Going out with my girlfriends
Making plans for MY future (applied for grad school today)
Starbucks, Starbucks, and more Starbucks (or Seattle's Best Coffee if I'm at Borders)
Taking DD or getting takeout for us from restaurants where I could never get H to go
Take DD to local events with live music and watch her enjoy it

After I have the baby I plan to do more with physical activity, and start going to the shooting range on my own... get my handgun & concealed carry permits...

And being the greenEST grass - and knowing that my H probably will never do better than me... never find someone who gets him the way I do, who has so much in common with him, who will let him be the dork he is... But knowing that I can do better smile

Thanks for posting this, dmk. After a hard cry last night, I really needed to see this. It really is true, and helped put me back in perspective. They really WILL have a hard time doing better than us. Thanks again.

Gimme a call if you ever want to go to the range together sometime. smile

I was chatting on the phone with my H yesterday - and he was complaining about hating going to his guard drills anymore.

I offered, out of the kindness of my heart, to shoot him in the foot so that he wouldn't have to go next month smile
