And since the swimmeet isn't the right place to bring it up, and since you're a savvy, smart, self-controlled fellow, wave your hands around and tell yourself, "You know, that's an important topic, but I just don't think this is the right place for it."
In other words, will it help you or your daughter if you bring it up? If not, stifle.
