Sorry Mish, this just sucks! I know you already know but I would seriously go after the CS. Right now it may be blood from a stone or however you say, but nothing you have done so far has worked, so desperate times and desperate measures...

So maybe you won't get any money at the moment but the idea of him sitting in a jail cell because he is to lazy to even work at McDonalds might get his rear in motion. Yes jobs are scarce, but he can't think that anything is beneath him.

"In Iowa they base a person child support off of their job but if the person does not have a job then they either back up to the last job if the person can still work a job like that or similar to that job. If all else fails, they at least base the support off of a 40 hour work week at minimum wage if the court believes that the person has no real reason why they can not have a job at that time. Maybe your lawyer will have a suggestion as to what the best way to proceed so you can get some sort of support."

Just saw this on another thread. Thought it could be useful...

Yep, I have. I contacted them and they are the ones that said to be very careful what I do because I could end up with nothing.....ever. If he remains unemployed they can not go after him for anything but then it becomes an issue with the court order and he will have a warrant. If they pull him over for running a stop sign he'll go to jail and then will be even more unemployable than he already is. Essentially, I'm screwed and Marc is screwed.

I quit.

Oh, forgot to mention..........yeah, get your 2x4's ready please.....SWING!

Took Marc to the dentist yesterday. 3 cavities. Lovely. Gabe and I had made arrangements to meet at the tag office after the dentist appt to fix the registration issue. I called him as we left the dentist and he was in another county getting brakes for my car. I had told him not to do that but he took in on himself to do it anyway with some of the birthday money his mom sent him (his birthday is today). He couldn't get to the tag office before they closed so he said he would just come over to the house and change out the brakes before I had to go to work tonight.

I started to argue with him but decided it just wasn't worth the argument, the brakes needed done desperately since they were squeeling horribly, and he doesn't pay CS so it's the least he can do. I know, stupid thought but I was desperate.

So all that done, I thanked him for doing it but not overly so. Worked until 11pm last night, had to be at a meeting at 7am this morning so had to sleep fast. On my way to the meeting I sent Gabe a text wishing him a happy birthday (he did the same for me so I returned the gesture). While in my meeting he responded with "CU in 30. How was your night?". Apparently he thought he was responding to a text from the broom instead of me. I told him he was responding to the wrong person since he wouldn't be seeing me in 30. His response? "LOL. Oops." Glad it wasn't anything more personal but I still threw up a little in my mouth. Why does it still pain me so horribly after all of this time? That makes no sense!
