It's definitely possible. Just didn't seem like something I should have thanked her for (I could be wrong here) since to do so might have communicated she WAS wrong. Truth is, teh directions WERE actually confusing, and I could have made the same "mistake."
I see your point, especially if it had been an apology over something important. But, I noted it only b/c it was a sign that she realized she COULD be wrong.
I will definitely keep your point in mind for when this happens next.
