Puppy-

OK, my W came home from work and I told her that I was moving back into our bed. She looked at me and said, well I guess I will sleep downstairs.

I said fine. Now she is in the bathroom sobbing. I feel like I should go make sure she is OK. What do I do?

Wife just walked into my home office and called me an SOB for hearing her cry and not coming to comfort her. I hope that this is the right call....

She is OK. You can monitor her but ler her cry it out. All you said was you are moving back in your bed. You are stating a boundary, she is having the EA and wants out. She will respect you for this, just hard for you to see.
If she starts in on you just calmy state, "Sorry you feel that way. It's my bed and I am going to sleep in it." Nothing further to discuss right now.

Repress the urge to rescue her. It's fine...let her cry. Kind of a double standard that she's fine with you out of the bedroom, but you need to comfort her if she cries? What is up with that? Let her live with the first little blow to this fantasy she had built up in her head.

Coach-

I believe the PA/EA has ended. But, she still has feelings for OM.

She is bawling right now. Carrying her things downstairs in front of the kids. Told them I'm making her move downstairs. My 8 year old just came and asked me why i am making Mom live downstairs.

Oh boy.

let her come to you and you control the dialouge. I like the way Gucci phrases it. "I have decided I am sleeping in my bed."

lowneil - DO NOT give in. She is trying to make you feel guilty by saying that to the kids. It is HER decision to move downstairs. All you did was move back to the bed where you belong.

You are not making Mom live downstairs it's her choice. You just decided you are sleeping in your bed.

Easier said than done. But I'm staying strong.
Hate that she is doing this in front of the boys.

It's amazing what our spouses will do in front of our children.

Just stand strong. How did you respond to your 8-year-old?
