OMG Jeff!!!! Knott's!!!! Say hello to my house please. I lived 1 block from Knott's for my entire growing up life and worked there for a year in high school. As a matter of fact, that is where I met Gabe. He was one of the 'cool' Ghost Town guys that worked the log ride. All the girls in the park wanted to date the ghost town guys. smile Make sure you don't miss the cheesy Mine Ride. The script is so funny because it's so corny! smile

Hey Jeff! Just checking in on you and no surprises, you are busy and popular--with your kids and with the ladies...

Enjoy Knott's! The cheesy-factor is what makes the classic theme parks so much fun! Although we went to Dogpatch (or is it Dawgpatch?) in Arkansas and it was hard to tell which cheesy parts were intentional and which were not... wink

Umm...the highlighted part kind of tells the tale doesn't it?

Not much time, but my grandparents lived near Dogpatch years ago. There was no place cheesier!

I will make sure we hit the mine ride tomorrow!

Made it home! Wiped out, I'm taking the morning off, and then going to work. Better a half day functioning than a whole day trying to stay awake!

The kids and I had a complete blast! I'm going to be working for a while to pay for it, but it was worth every penny! I don't think we could have fit much more into a weekend.

I was thinking of something W did. I told her that I was unhappy with the way S19 had left things here. She asked if I had talked to him, I said that talking to him while he was gone wasn't going to help anything, he'd just say what he thought I wanted to hear, and forget it. So, her reaction was to call him, and talk to him, and tell him he should call me! He hasn't, which doesn't bother me at all, except that he should have listened to her. But, what I see here is another perfect example of how she has to be in control of everything and everyone. Even in things that in a lot of ways are not her business. You know, it really isn't me!

What was my favorite part?! I have no idea.....

The Perilous Plunge was good, and it was really cool when the kids and I all got on the Silver Bullet. And the Ghostrider was quite a ride.

I really liked the lazy river at the water park, though I had left my had and sunglasses in the hotel, so I couldn't see as much scenery as I might have, and I got some sunburn besides. Then we had quite a ride on the Pacific spin.

The kid's reaction when the figured out what Medieval Times was was pretty good, too! We had a table for three, right down in the front corner... almost like we were royalty!

Found out that I might know a bit about the kids, too. Mid-afternoon Saturday S14 was dragging, and wanting to go back to the hotel. I had a feeling we'd never get back out if we did. So, I suggested a nice indoor lunch stop, no rushing, and air conditioned. So we went to Johnny Rockets, ate burgers, and were good to go for the rest of the afternoon, heck, until almost 11! He later said I'd figured out just what he needed, even if he didn't know!

Well, I saw the first lady again last night. We seem to be pretty comfortable together. I will see her again over the weekend, but I am not sure exactly when yet. I will have the kids, and there is a school event (though no official notice of it yet) Friday evening.... just a half hour, but really throws a monkey wrench into things! She runs early in the morning, and hence goes to bed early at night, so the weekend is the best opportunity to see her for very long.

The second lady has a trip coming up, and is having some kid issues of her own, so seeing her again is on hold, for the moment.
